Calugcugan is tagged as a “high-value target” at the provincial level in the government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign, according to a NOPPO report.

The suspect was arrested around 9:24 p.m. in Purok 7 of the said village after he allegedly sold suspected shabu to an undercover operative.

The total weight of the confiscated suspected shabu was more or less 150 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of PHP1.020 million.

Calugcugan is a probationer who availed of a plea bargain in March, this year.

Operatives from the Provincial Intelligence Group-Special Operations Group of the NOPPO, the Dumaguete City Police Station, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Oriental, and the Highway Patrol Group-Negros Oriental nabbed the suspect during the buy bust.
