MANILA — Two young female gymnasts from the Philippines captured gold medals during the Magic Cup Rhythmic Gymnastics meet in Hungary recently.

Breanna Labadan and Daniela dela Pisa took the top spot in their respective events to give the Philippine gymnastics community another reason to celebrate.

The 13-year-old Labadan won the gold in the junior individual all-around event, while the 16-year-old dela Pisa dominated the senior individual all-around category.

Dela Pisa, the daughter of former college basketball star Randy and gymnastics coach Darlene, is set to participate in this year's Southeast Asian Games.

Her win in Hungary gave her good gold medal chances in the country's hosting of the biennial meet from Nov. 30 to Dec. 11 this year. (PNA)
