Zambo City police nets 11 in anti-drug ops

ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Police arrested 11 drug personalities in separate operations in this southern port city, an official said Monday.

Maj. Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) information officer, said six of the 11 suspects were caught in possession of some PHP10,000 worth of suspected shabu when arrested Sunday in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Catalina, this city.

Arrested by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Police Station 11 were identified as follows: Clarita Narag, 50; Ritchel Regalario, 53; Ronnie Escalicas, 30; Rowie Escalicas, 24; Raffy Mustala, 31; and, Ibrahim Nonnong, 54.

Galvez said the suspects yielded PHP200 marked money aside from the suspected shabu packed in 11 heat-sealed plastic sachets.

She said two other suspects were arrested Sunday in a buy-bust operation by the SDET of Police Station 4 in Pablo Enriquez Drive, Barangay Boalan, this city.

She identified them as Roel Montejo, 40, and Marki Napalcruz, 27, who were were allegedly caught in possession of some PHP34,000 packed in 21 heat-sealed plastic sachets and PHP400 marked money.

The police official said the remaining three of the 11 suspects were arrested Sunday, also in a buy-bust operation, in Sunrise village, Barangay Talon-Talon, this city.

Galvez identified the suspects as Radzaid Paraja, 19; Munjir Muksan, 25; and, Richie Manuel, 40, who allegedly yielded some PHP3,500 worth of suspected shabu and PHP200 marked money.

Galvez said appropriate charges are set to be filed against the suspects. (PNA)
