DUMAGUETE CITY – Police arrested an alleged newly-identified drug pusher during a buy-bust in Sitio Nakawa, Barangay Mag-abo in the municipality of Amlan in Negros Oriental on Wednesday.
The Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO) identified the suspect as Alastair Sienes, 29, of the said village. He was arrested around 12:15 a.m. during a sting operation.
Confiscated from Sienes were a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, which was the subject of an alleged sale to an undercover operative, three more heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, a PHP500 marked bill used in the transaction, cash, and a mobile phone.
The suspect is now under detention as charges for illegal possession and illegal sale of a prohibited substance in violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are now being readied against him. (PNA)
