MANILA -- Team Lakay started its campaign at ONE: Fire and Fury at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Friday night 2-0 as Gina Iniong and Lito Adiwang won in contrasting yet dominating fashion.

Iniong put up an impressive performance en route to a unanimous decision win over India's Asha Roka, while Adiwang wasted no time in finishing off Thailand's Pongsiri Mitsatit.

Iniong, who won a kickboxing gold medal in the Southeast Asian Games last month, actually had a chance to submit Roka late in the second round with a guillotine choke, but Roka was saved by the bell.

Still, Iniong's submission attempt was more than enough for her to beat Roka.

Meanwhile, Adiwang showcased his grappling prowess too by submitting Mitsatit through a Kimura lock at the 3:02 mark of Round 1.

Adiwang dominated the match early on after nearly knocking Mitsatit out through the ground-and-pound. (PNA)
