BACOLOD CITY – Bacolod City police officers seized a total of PHP360,000 worth of suspected shabu from nine suspects in various operations in the past four days.
On Monday night, personnel of Police Station 2 led by Maj. Sherlock Gabana arrested five persons in Purok Narra, Barangay 8.
Nabbed were John Paul Guzon, 34, a street-level individual (SLI), and his companions Bobby Palomo, 63; Erikson Cordova, 35; Jonathan Salcedo, 27; and Kube Salaza, 22.
During the operation at around 6:20 p.m., operatives seized 21 sachets of shabu weighing about 30 grams with a street value of PHP240,000. They also recovered the PHP200 buy-bust money, PHP800 cash, and drug paraphernalia.
On Saturday, Oliver Hong, 47, also an SLI, was arrested inside the Ong Bun Pension House in the downtown area here around 8:25 p.m.
Operatives of Police Station 3 seized from the suspect six sachets of shabu with an estimated value of PHP25,000 after he sold PHP500 worth of the prohibited substance to a poseur-buyer.
On Friday, the drug enforcement team of Police Station 2 also arrested two SLIs --Jan Mark de la Cruz, 26; and Raymart de la Cruz, 23, in Purok Tahong, Barangay 2.
Around 5:20 p.m., the suspects sold PHP300 worth of shabu to an undercover cop. Also found in their possession were eight sachets of shabu weighing six grams with a street value of PHP50,000.
Meanwhile, in Barangay Estefania, operatives of Police Station 8 apprehended Kenjie Planilla, 23, at around 5:30 p.m.
The suspect, a newly-identified SLI who hails from Purok Sigay, Barangay 2, sold PHP300 worth of shabu to a poseur-buyer.
He also yielded three sachets of shabu weighing about three grams with an estimated street value of PHP45,000. (PNA)
