SAMAL, Bataan – Bishop Ruperto Santos of the Diocese of Balanga made the rounds of several areas in this province to give Bataeños Easter Sunday blessings on board an open vehicle.

Holding a small cross with the crucified Christ, the prelate on a vehicle bedecked with flowers, blessed everyone he passed by from this town to Abucay and Balanga City.

Only a few vehicles joined the bishop's convoy that played the Christian song “We are one, Hear our prayer”.

An image of the risen Christ was in a separate vehicle that was also adorned with flowers.

Before the blessing on board the vehicle, Santos officiated a holy mass at the St. Catherine of Siena Church in this town attended only by a few people due to the enhanced community quarantine.

Fr. Raymond Gutang, Samal church parish priest, assisted the bishop. (PNA)
