LEGAZPI CITY – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Bicol has adopted measures to allow corporations to easily comply with the regulations, in a manner most convenient and practical for them amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

SEC Bicol information officer Glorei Lindio said while the Commission no longer accepts walk-in transactions, it accepts corporate filings through electronic mail.

“During the ECQ, the office is receiving reports, such as General Information Sheets (GIS), Annual Financial Statement (AFS), and all other general and special forms in an electronic file (pdf file) containing the electronic signature, through our email address [email protected],” she said Monday.

To register online, Lindio said the applicants may log onto https://crs.sec.gov.ph/

“In the system, the applicant can verify its proposed company name, generate its articles of incorporation, bylaws and other company registration documents, and upload all required documents for processing, review, and approval. For assistance concerning the processing of documents, clients may send the scanned copy of the online generated application documents to [email protected],” she added.

To facilitate the registration of one-person corporation and corporations with two to four incorporators, the Commission set-up an interim online registration system which allows an applicant or his duly authorized representative to input the proposed corporate name with its trade name/s, if any, and the data to complete its company profile.

The applicant has to provide a valid and existing email address and the Commission will review the application online.

Payment of registration fees, submission of notarized hard copies of registration documents, and issuance of the certificate of incorporation will be done after the lifting of the lockdown.

For other queries and concerns, Lindio said the public may send them through [email protected] or call the mobile number 0929-883-1917.

“And for the latest updates and information on SEC preventive measures to help corporations cope with the Covid-19 pandemic, the public may visit its website, www.sec.gov.ph, and official Facebook page, Securities and Exchange Commission Philippines," she added. (PNA)
