SORSOGON CITY – Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero has allowed the partial operation of hardware stores and pet shops in the province of Sorsogon.

In his Executive Order No. 23-2020 dated April 22, 2020, Escudero said the permission being granted was based on Memorandum No. 20-16 of the Department of Trade and Industry issued last April 13.

The governor's order states that the operation shall be limited only to facilitating pick-up and deliveries but no over-the-counter transactions, walk-in or retail sales.

“Business owners (have) to observe contact-less operation and other quarantine rules and regulations,” Escudero said.

Sorsogon province is strictly implementing the enhanced community quarantine with hopes to remain free of the coronavirus disease 2019. (PNA)
