Davao City offers transport for stranded residents

DAVAO CITY – The city government here has coordinated with local government units (LGUs) within the region to ferry some 1,200 individuals stranded outside their home cities and provinces due to the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Early this week, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio put together a stranded person task force to gather information regarding residents stranded outside the city, as well as residents of surrounding provinces who are stranded in Davao City.

Following such directive, the Davao City Tourism Office issued stranded person hotline numbers, which will enable individuals to coordinate with the LGU of their residence.
