13 more health workers recover from Covid–19 in Bataan

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The number of health workers in this province who are getting well continued to rise after 13 more were reported having recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) as of Saturday.
 
Citing the report from the Provincial Health Office, Governor Albert Garcia on Sunday said the total number of recoveries rose from 24 as of Friday to 37 on Saturday.
 
The new recoveries were eight health workers from Balanga City, three from Orion, one each from Pilar and Samal.
 
Garcia said while there were more recoveries, fatalities remained at five while the number of confirmed Covid–19 cases remains at 107 for the last four days from Wednesday to Saturday. 
 
At least 1,496 individuals were found negative from 2,156 who have undergone Covid-19 tests, while 553 are still waiting for the result. 
 
On Friday, two other health workers were released from hospital confinement and transferred to a facility designated by the Department of Health.
 
Like the others who have recovered, they still have to undergo 14 days of post-discharge quarantine before their final release. (PNA)
