COTABATO CITY – A total of 38 Maguindanao residents are now undergoing a 14-day mandatory home quarantine after they arrived Friday after being stranded in Davao City following the enhanced community quarantine.

“They are under close monitoring by the rural health units of their respective towns of origin,” said Maguindanao Gov. Bai Meriam Sangki-Mangudadatu in a radio interview.

Mangudadatu said she coordinated with Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte for the return of 38 residents who were stranded in Davao City since March 18.

“Mayor Inday Sara provided a bus to transport to them from Davao City to Integrated Provincial Health Office- Maguindanao in Datu Hoffer,” Mangudadatu said, thanking Duterte for the assistance.

She said the 38 individuals have undergone Covid-19 tests and were advised for 14 days home quarantine to be monitored by their respective municipal health units.

Mangudadatu said the stranded Maguindanao residents were provided with food packs as they boarded the Mindanao Star Bus commissioned by the Davao City government. (PNA)
