3 nabbed, P125-K shabu seized in Zamboanga

ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Three drug pushers were arrested while some PHP125,000 worth of shabu seized in separate anti-drug operations here and in Dipolog City, police said Monday.

Maj. Helen Galvez, Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) information officer, identified the arrested suspects as Ericson Daud, 43; Anthony Ryan Despalo, 37; and Michelle Marcojos, 29.

Galvez said Daud and Despalo, both unemployed, were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 6:10 p.m. Sunday in Lobo Drive, Barangay Canelar here.

She said both suspects yielded some PHP60,000 worth of suspected shabu packed in 12 plastic sachets and PHP400 marked money.

Marcojos, also jobless, was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 10 p.m. Sunday in Purok Duranta, Barangay Turno in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, police said. She reportedly yielded some PHP65,000 worth of suspected shabu and P500 marked money.

Galvez said the arrested suspects were detained and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the crime laboratory while charges are set to be filed against them. (PNA)
