ROSALES, Pangasinan – Authorities have confiscated PHP374,000 worth of suspected shabu from a high-value target in a buy-bust here on Thursday.

In an interview, Retchie Camacho, a team leader from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Pangasinan said the suspect Marvin Placido yielded around 55 grams of shabu in heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets in Barangay Carmen East.

“The suspect has been operating in the entire province. He is one of the suppliers in the province,” he said.

Also seized from the operation were three bundles of PHP1,000 boodle money, a mobile phone, and a Mitsubishi L300, which Placido allegedly uses in the illegal drug trade.

He added that PDEA has been monitoring Placido for almost two years now.

Placido, however, refused to comment on how long he has been involved in the illegal drug trade.

The suspect is currently under PDEA’s custody. (PNA)
