Overseas Filipinos with coronavirus now 9,275

MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported Sunday 36 more Filipinos abroad who were infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), which brings the total tally to 9,275.

In its latest case bulletin, the DFA said the new cases were mostly from the Asia and the Pacific and Europe.

It also reported no new recoveries and fatalities.

The total number of recoveries is 5,410 and the tally of deaths remains at 653.

Meanwhile, a total of 3,212 Filipinos abroad are still undergoing treatment.

"Based in percentages, the DFA reports that the total number of those who have recovered from Covid-19 is at 58 percent of the total confirmed cases since last week, while those who are under treatment and those who died due to the disease are now almost 35 percent and 7 percent, respectively," the DFA said.
