Tarlac records 1 death, 17 recoveries, 12 new Covid-19 cases

TARLAC CITY, Tarlac – Seventeen more patients have recovered from coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in this province, bringing the total number of recoveries to 153 as confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH) on Friday.

The Tarlac Covid-19 Task Force said that six of those who recovered from the dreaded disease came from this city; Concepcion with four, Pura, two; and one each from the towns of Gerona, Capas, Paniqui, San Manuel, and Bamban.

On the other hand, the task force said that a 52-year-old man from Barangay Alfonso, Concepcion succumbed to the dreaded disease, raising the total death tally to 14.

Meanwhile, 12 new confirmed Covid-19 cases were reported, raising the total number of cases to 367 with 200 active cases.

Of the 12 new cases, six came from this city, three from Concepcion, and one each from Mayantoc, Pura, and Gerona.

The task force also said the new infections include two health workers -- a 37-year-old female from Barangay Estipona, Pura and a 24-year-old female from  Barangay Poblacion, Gerona.

The two infected health workers developed mild Covid symptoms, the task force added. (PNA)
