Zambo anti-drug ops net 4; seize P143-K shabu

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Anti-drug operatives arrested four people, two of them included in the police watch list, during separate anti-drug operations in the region, an official said Wednesday.

Brig. Gen. Jesus Cambay Jr., Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) director, identified the suspects in the drug watch list as Ariel Alagon, 43, and Genimar Feras, 35.

Cambay said Alagon was arrested with PHP500 worth of suspected shabu and PHP500 marked money in a buy-bust around 10:45 a.m. Tuesday in Barangay Turno, Dipolog City.

Feras, meanwhile, was arrested in a law enforcement operation via a search warrant around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay Turno, Dipolog City, police said, adding the suspect yielded some PHP95,000 worth of suspected shabu and several illegal drug paraphernalia.

Cambay identified the other two suspects as Tawasil Amin, 33, and, Nadzme Sasapan, 26.

Amin and Sasapan yielded some PHP47,600 worth of suspected shabu when arrested in a buy-bust around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in Barangay Ayala here.

He said all the suspects were detained and charged with the violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
