MANILA – Authorities seized PHP47.6 million worth of shabu and arrested four suspects in a buy-bust operation in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, a police official said on Thursday.

In a report submitted to Camp Crame, Batangas Police Provincial Police director Col. Rex Arvin Malimban identified the suspects as Joey Mordes, Lanze Esquivel, Angelo Morales, and John Paul Muyco.

The operation was conducted at a parking lot of an establishment in the city at around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. It was based on verified intelligence reports and surveillance operations about illegal drug activities of a local group operating in Batangas and nearby areas.

The suspects yielded around seven kilos of shabu, boodle money, and a car.
