MANILA – The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) shared good news on Sunday that its ongoing bubble season in Angeles is once again coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) free again.

The league announced that no one has contracted the virus ahead of its upcoming return to action on Nov. 3.

"All players of the 12 participating teams have already tested negative in the latest round (third) of RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) tests," the PBA said in a statement.

With the development, the league got a green light to return to play following two suspected cases, a referee and a Blackwater player, two weeks ago which were later announced to be "false positives".

The PBA postponed its games on Oct. 30, and to make up for the four nights of no basketball action, the league will play triple-headers and even quadruple headers starting Tuesday.

In the revised schedule also released on Sunday, Blackwater Elite and San Miguel Beermen will face off in the first game of a four-match card on Tuesday at 10 a.m., the first time at least in recent league history that a regular season game will be played in the morning.

Also scheduled for Tuesday are a 1 p.m. showdown between Phoenix and Terrafirma, a 4 p.m. game pitting NorthPort Batang Pier and TNT KaTropa, and a 6:45 p.m. collision between Alaska and Barangay Ginebra.

For the Elite to make up for their postponed games, they will play again on Wednesday against the Meralco Bolts at 1 p.m. as part of another quadruple-header.

The KaTropa will also return to action on Wednesday against the Magnolia Hotshots at 4 p.m., while the Barangay will play for the second straight night too against the NorthPort at 6:45 p.m.

The other Wednesday game is a 10 a.m. collision between the Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters and the NLEX Road Warriors. (PNA)
