PNP Covid-19 recoveries now 6.7K

MANILA – An additional 67 police officers have recovered from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19), bringing the total number of recoveries among its ranks to 6,730.

This decreases the number of active cases in the police force to 502, based on data released by the Philippine National Police (PNP) Health Service on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, 35 new infections were reported in the police force, bringing the total number of cases to 7,255.

Of the new cases, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 4-B (Mimaropa) and PRO 3 (Central Luzon) has seven each, followed by National Capital Region Police Office and PRO 11 (Davao) with five each, PRO 6 (Western Visayas) with four, PRO Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) with three, while one each in the National Operational Support Units, PRO 5 (Bicol), PRO 8 (Eastern Visayas) and PRO 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula).

Meanwhile, one police officer died of the disease, raising the death toll to 23.

The latest fatality is a 42-year-old police officer from the PRO 9 who died on October 29. (PNA)
