BUTUAN CITY – The Police Regional Office in Caraga (PRO-13) said over PHP2 million worth of illegal drugs were seized during a 60-day campaign launched by various police units in the area.

Capt. Dorothy M. Tumulak, PRO-13 public information officer, said the massive anti-illegal drug operations, conducted from September 17 to November 16, yielded over 205 grams of shabu and 16 grams of marijuana.

“A total of 133 illegal drug personalities were also arrested during the 126 anti-illegal drugs police operations conducted during the period,” Tumulak said on Tuesday.

PRO-13 director, Brig. Gen. Romeo M. Caramat, vowed a sustained campaign against illegal drugs in the region.

“Rest assured that PNP Caraga will continue to intensify its campaign against illegal drugs in consonance with the directives of Pres. Rodrigo R. Duterte and our new chief, Gen. Debold M. Sinas,” Caramat said in a statement Tuesday.

“We will remain relentless in our efforts against the persons behind the distribution of these illegal substances which victimize mostly the youth,” he added.

He also acknowledged the contributions of residents and the local government units in the region in the success of the police's anti-drug operations. (PNA)
