3 nabbed; P710-K shabu seized in Zambo drug busts

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Authorities arrested a high-value target (HVT) drug personality and two others, seizing PHP710,500 worth of shabu in separate anti-drug operations here, a top police official said Wednesday.

Brig. Gen. Jesus Cambay Jr., Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) director, identified the arrested HVT as Joash Diaz Misil, 34, of Blue Homes Subdivision, Barangay Mercedes.

Cambay said Misil was arrested in a buy-bust around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at Corcuera Street, Barangay Zone 4.

Misil yielded some 50 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of PHP700,000, and other pieces of evidence, police said.

Police identified the suspects as Clarissa Karil Inaril, 23, a fish merchant; and Najar Ammad Abdul, 31, a laborer.

Inaril yielded some 1.1 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of PHP8,000, and other pieces of evidence when arrested in a buy-bust around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday in Sitio Asinan, Barangay Kasanyangan.

Meanwhile, police said Abdul yielded some 0.3 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP2,500 and PHP500 marked money when arrested in a buy-bust around 4:05 p.m. Tuesday in Sitio Dumpsite, Barangay Kasanyangan.

Cambay said charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects. (PNA)
