DAVAO CITY – As of Nov. 26, Davao Region has recorded 5,844 recoveries from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) since the pandemic was declared in March, the Department of Health in Region 11 (DOH-11) said.
In a regional situation update released Thursday, DOH-11 said Davao City tops the most number of recovered patients, at 3,785, followed by Davao del Norte-747, Davao del Sur-491, Davao Oriental-381, Davao de Oro-332, and Davao Occidental-108.
Meanwhile, DOH-11 reported 165 new cases as of Thursday, bringing the total number of active cases to 2,564.
The new cases consisted of three locally stranded individuals (LSI), 159 local cases, and three cases that remain subject to further verification.
Of the new cases, 119 are from Davao City, 30 from Davao del Norte, eight from Davao del Sur, four from Davao Oriental, three from Davao de Oro, and one from Davao Occidental.
DOH-11 also reported two new Covid-19 deaths in the region. (PNA)
