Big-time drug pusher nabbed, P3.4-M shabu seized in Angeles City

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga – A big-time drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation here that led to the confiscation of some PHP3.4 million worth of shabu along MacArthur Highway, Barangay Balibago on Wednesday night.

Christian Frivaldo, director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Region 3 (Central Luzon), identified the suspect as Jayson Crisostomo, 27, a resident of Navotas City.

Frivaldo said the suspect was arrested by combined elements of PDEA from Region 3, Region 1, and Region 4-A (Calabarzon).

He said Crisostomo was involved in the bulk distribution of shabu in this city, Mabalacat City, and nearby towns in Pampanga and Tarlac.

Seized from the suspect were one piece of resealable transparent plastic bag containing shabu weighing more or less 500 grams valued at PHP3.4 million, a cellphone, PHP1,000 buy-bust money, and five bundles of boodle money.

Violation of Section 5 of Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act) will be filed against the suspect. (PNA)
