MANILA – Two suspects yielded some PHP54 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Muntinlupa City, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Debold Sinas on Sunday said.

Sinas said suspects Renzy Louise Vizcarra and Red Lewy Vizcarra were arrested during the operation in front of a fast-food outlet in Tunasan, Muntinlupa around 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Seized from the suspects were around eight kilograms of shabu, three mobile phones, a Toyota Innova and the boodle money used by agents in the entrapment.

He said the two, suspected major players of a drug distribution network, were arrested by a composite team of PNP, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) and National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) in an inter-agency collaborative effort to implement the flagship national campaign against illegal drugs.

"Our anti-illegal drugs campaign has resulted even more in this kind of accomplishment because of the cooperation between and among our law enforcement agencies which serves as a stern warning to drug dealers," Sinas said.

Sinas said there will be no letup in the government’s campaign against illegal drugs.

“The PNP, PDEA and other agencies have strong resolve to carry out the President's instruction to rid our country of illegal drugs," he added. (PNA)
