Tarlac logs 31 new Covid-19 recoveries

TARLAC CITY, Tarlac – Thirty-one more Tarlaqueños have recovered from coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) as confirmed by the Department of Health (DOH) on Monday.

This brought the total number of recoveries in the province to 1,147 while the active cases went down to 200.

The Tarlac Covid-19 Task Force said 21 of the new recoveries came from this city, eight from Capas town, and one each from Concepcion and Gerona.

Meanwhile, the task force said the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases remained at 1,399 while the reported death toll stayed at 52.

Mayor Cristy Angeles reminded the residents to keep the minimum one-meter physical distancing in public places to avoid the spread of Covid-19.

“Isinusulong din ang palagian at tamang pagsuot ng face mask at face shield, madalas na paghugas ng kamay, pag-iwas sa matataong lugar at pagpapalakas ng immune system upang maging ligtas mula sa sakit na maaaring idulot ng virus (We are also promoting the regular and proper wearing of face masks and face shields, frequent hand washing, avoiding crowded places, and strengthening the immune system to be safe from the disease that can be caused by the virus),” she said.

Angeles also said that disinfection is regularly being conducted in areas frequently visited by people and the villages with high number of Covid-19 cases.

The other measures being implemented in the city include implementation of curfew and monitoring of business establishments with dine-in service to ensure the health and safety of the residents. (PNA)
