JAEN, Nueva Ecija – A village councilor and a local peacekeeping member were killed by gunmen riding-in-tandem in Barangay Lambakin here on Friday night.
Maj. Baltazar Corpuz, town police chief, said on Saturday the victims were Councilor Florencio Cajucom and Bantay Bayan member Armando Pring, both of Barangay Santo Tomas Norte.
Corpuz said the investigation showed that the victims were on board a single motorcycle when successively shot by the still unidentified suspects at 8:40 p.m.
Police have yet to establish the motive behind the attack. (PNA)
