133 new Covid-19 recoveries bring total to over 500K

MANILA – The Department of Health (DOH) has recorded a 91.5-percent recovery rate from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) after reporting 133 new recoveries on Saturday.

The latest DOH Covid-19 case bulletin showed a total of 500,781 recoveries from the disease and 1,960 new cases.

This raised the number of active Covid-19 cases to 34,967, out of a cumulative total of 547,255 cases.

Of the active Covid-19 cases, the DOH said 86.3 percent of these are considered mild cases, 8.7 percent are asymptomatic, 2.3 percent are critical, 2,2 percent are severe, and 0.64 percent are moderate.

However, the DOH said 12 new deaths brought the country's death toll to 11,507.

The country has enough Covid-19 facilities according to the bulletin with 61-percent availability for the intensive care unit beds, isolation beds have 67-percent capacity, ward beds have 78-percent availability, while 79 percent of ventilators are still available.

The DOH continuously reminds the public to strictly follow the imposed minimum health safety protocols to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 in the country. (PNA)
