CEBU CITY – The Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) has launched a new facility on its website to provide registered members with safe, easy, and hassle-free access to their membership and contribution records, its regional office here said Friday.

In a statement, PhilHealth 7 (Central Visayas) public relations officer Dina Cinchez said the facility allows registered members to view and verify the accuracy of the information reflected in their membership profile.

It also allows members to print their Member Data Record (MDR) and enables them to view their contribution history to see if they are updated with their premiums, Cinchez added.

This facility, dubbed as “Philhealth Member Portal”, can be accessed on the agency’s website (www.philhealth.gov.ph) for easier transactions, as well as to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) among members, she noted.

Cinchez also shared that under the Universal Health Care (UHC), all Filipinos are entitled to avail of PhilHealth’s National Health Insurance Program.

It seeks to ensure that all Filipinos have access to comprehensive health services without experiencing financial difficulties.

Under the UHC, PhilHealth members will be classified into two groups: direct contributors or those who can pay premiums; and indirect contributors or those not included as direct contributors whose premiums are subsidized by the national government.

She also announced that PhilHealth offices in Central Visayas are accommodating registration and data amendment transactions via email during the pandemic.

PhilHealth is celebrating the 26th National Health Insurance Program anniversary this month with the theme, “Patuloy na Nagmamalasakit at Naglilingkod sa Pamilyang Filipino.” (PNA)
