P510-K shabu seized, 3 suspects nabbed in Bacolod City

BACOLOD CITY – Joint operatives of Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-Western Visayas (RPDEU-6) and Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized PHP510,000 worth of suspected shabu from three suspects in two separate buy-busts here on Tuesday.

At 4:15 p.m., Samuel Talaman, 32, was arrested on Jupiter St., Henrietta Village, Barangay Singcang-Airport after he sold a sachet of shabu worth PHP15,000 to a poseur-buyer.

Talaman, a construction worker and resident of Purok 5, Magsungay in the same village, is listed as a street-level individual.

The suspect yielded five sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing about 30 grams valued at PHP204,000, a gun replica, a cellular phone, and non-drug items.

Talaman is detained at Police Station 8, whose drug enforcement team led by Maj. Joery Puerto joined the regional unit during the operation.

About five and half hours later, two suspects were arrested on 1st Road of Purok Malipayon, Barangay Taculing by the same RPDEU-6 team led by Lt. Glenn Soliman and personnel of Police Station 6 headed by Maj. Leo Estopa.

During the operation at 9:40 p.m., suspects Jim Jim Estacio, 30, and Nico Calates, 33 sold shabu worth PHP20,000 to an undercover policeman.

Operatives also recovered from their possession 45 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of PHP306,000.

The two suspects are now detained at Police Station 6. (PNA)
