10 suspects nabbed in Subic ‘drug den’

SUBIC, Zambales – Ten suspected drug suspects were arrested by authorities in Purok 6B, Barangay Calapacuan, Subic, Zambales on Thursday.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-3 (Central Luzon) Regional Director Christian O. Frivaldo said the entrapment also resulted in the seizure of some PHP120,000 worth of shabu and assorted paraphernalia.

He identified the suspects as Jordana Rivera Inuk, 33, and Melvin Araneta Tigbe, 33, both online sellers and maintainers of the alleged drug den which was raided in the village that is also known as Muslim Area among locals.

Also arrested were Abdulgani Salaman Lamani, 46, security personnel; Ajirya Saral Ibnohari, 49, store vendor; Roger Salaman Lamani, 33; Jainal Ibnuhali Jilin, 28, helper; Benny Isnani, male, 40, fisherman; Robert Nali, 35, store owner; Jeff Pussan, 57, fisherman, all residents of Purok 6B; and Raymond Dionisio Echague, 29, of Sitio Matangib, Barangay Cawag.

The operation was conducted by elements of PDEA and the police.

The suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
