3 most wanted persons fall in NCR, Cavite ops

MANILA – Three wanted persons were nabbed in separate operations in Metro Manila and Cavite province this week, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) reported on Thursday.

NCRPO chief, Maj. Gen. Vicente D. Danao, Jr., citing police reports, said suspect Benito Parrenas was arrested in Caloocan City at around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. He is listed as the second most wanted person of the Mina Municipal Police Station in Iloilo City.

Parrenas has two standing arrest warrants for murder issued by two local courts in Iloilo.

At around 2:30 p.m. on the same day, frustrated murder suspect Alvin Bernabe was arrested in Navotas City.

Bernabe, the sixth most wanted person of Navotas City, has an arrest warrant for frustrated murder issued by the Malabon City Regional Trial Court.

On Tuesday night, authorities also nabbed rape suspect Glenard Pilat in a manhunt operation in Cavite City.

Pilat is the second most wanted person of the Sta. Josefa Municipal Police Station in Agusan del Sur.

The arrested suspects are now under the custody of operating units for documentation and proper disposition pending issuance of commitment order from the court of origin. (PNA)
