Drug dealer nabbed, 10 kilos of shabu seized in Cavite buy-bust

MANILA – Operatives of the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) arrested a notorious drug dealer and seized some 10 kilos of suspected shabu worth PHP68 million in Dasmariñas City, Cavite Monday night.

PNP chief Gen. Debold Sinas identified the suspect as Michael Lucas alias "Boy Muslim", 35.

"The arrested suspect is a member of a drug syndicate that distributes illegal drugs particularly shabu in Region 3, National Capital Region, Mindanao, and other nearby provinces. He had been into illegal drug transactions for more than two years," Sinas said Tuesday.

Sinas added that the illegal drug supply was facilitated by the suspect’s Chinese contact who is detained at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.

Lucas was arrested in a buy-bust operation at Block 25, Lot 12, Moab St., Town and Country Homes Subdivision around 10:10 p.m. Monday.

Aside from the illegal drugs, also seized from Lucas were three digital scales and identification cards.

Lucas is set to be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (with Priam Nepomuceno/PNA)
