CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – Two drug suspects were arrested and some PHP340,000 worth of shabu was seized in an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Borol 2nd, Balagtas town, this province on Monday.
Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan provincial director, in a statement, identified the arrested suspects as Maisah Parampatan, a resident of Baclaran, Parañaque City; and Alinor Losain of Balagtas town.
Cajipe said based on the report of Major Jansky Andrew Jaafar, acting chief of the Provincial Intelligence Unit-Bulacan, the suspects were arrested after selling a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to undercover policemen.
Confiscated from the duo were 41 sachets of suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item, weighing a total of more or less 50 grams, a coin purse and the buy-bust money.
The suspects and the seized pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
Criminal complaints for violation of Sections 5 and 11 in relation to Section 26, Article Il of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared against the suspects. (PNA)
