P13.6-M 'shabu' seized in Davao drug sting

DAVAO CITY – Authorities have seized PHP13.6 million worth of shabu from a suspect in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lasang here on Monday night.

In a report from the City Drug Enforcement Unit/Special Operation Group (CDEU-SOG), the suspect was identified as Jaber Saranggani, 24, a resident of Sto. Domingo 2, Sasa, this city.

Saranggani was arrested shortly before 8 p.m. after selling one medium-sized transparent cellophane containing suspected shabu for PHP65,000 to a poseur buyer.

The suspect yielded around 850 grams of shabu, a red shoulder bag containing two big transparent cellophane paper, five medium-sized transparent cellophane containing suspected shabu, one cellular phone, and a motorcycle.

Saranggani was immediately brought to the CDEU-SOG office to face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
