TARLAC CITY, Tarlac – A total of 441,807 Tarlaqueños have been vaccinated as the provincial government ramps up its inoculation drive against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Of the number, 266,062 residents have received their first dose while 175,745 have been fully vaccinated, according to Tarlac’s Covid-19 case bulletin released on Saturday.

Governor Susan Yap said the provincial government has been going all-out in curbing the Covid-19 cases in the province.

To ensure the safety and protection of the Tarlaquenos, Yap said the provincial government is continuously conducting such vaccination programs as the Bakuna sa Barangay Para sa Senior Citizens and those for other priority groups in the various villages of the province.

Lahat ginagawa ng ating probinsya sa lubos ng ating makakaya upang matustusan ang pangangailangan ng bawat pamilyang Tarlaqueño (Our province is doing its best to sustain the needs of every Tarlaqueño family),” she said in a post on her official social media account.

Yap also reminded them to comply with the health and safety protocols to prevent the spread and transmission of the virus.

On Saturday, the Department of Health (DOH) confirmed 117 new Covid-19 cases in the province, bringing the total number of active cases to 2,395, or 15.2 percent of the 15,757 infections recorded since the outbreak began in March last year.

The DOH also reported 213 new recoveries and one death, bringing the total number of recoveries to 12,858, and deaths to 504, respectively 81.6 percent and 3.2 percent of the total caseload since March 2020. (PNA)
