CAMP S.K. Pendatun, Maguindanao – Police authorities in Marawi City and Lanao del Sur have launched follow-up operations against members of an organized crime group responsible for shabu peddling in the city and the province.

This came after the Marawi police, led by Lt. Col. Renato Mauricio Jr., arrested three persons during a buy-bust operation in the city at 8 p.m. Thursday and seized more than PHP60,000 worth of shabu drugs.

In a report, Mauricio said the trio were nabbed after they sold shabu weighing nine grams to an undercover agent in Sitio Pumping, Barangay Raya Saduc, Marawi City.

He identified the suspects as Jalil Natangco, 36; and Farhan Dida-Agun, 25, both of Marawi City, and Abdulfattah Subaer, 22, of Barangay Bubong, Saguiaran, Lanao del Sur.

Mauricio said the suspects belonged to an organized drug ring responsible for selling shabu in the city and Lanao del Sur.

“We are running after their companions to put an end to this society’s menace,” Mauricio said.

The suspects will be charged with the violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
