CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – Three suspected drug peddlers and five others were arrested in anti-illegal drug operations in the province on Wednesday and Thursday morning.
In a police report, Col. Manuel M. Lukban Jr., acting director of the Bulacan Police, said the three suspected drug peddlers were nabbed in separate operations by operatives of the Bocaue and the City of San Jose del Monte police on Wednesday.
Lukban identified the arrested as Jhen Regoso alias Matet of Barangay Bambang, Bocaue, who is on the unified drug watch list of the Philippine National Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and live-in partners Faith Pasco and Lito Glova, residents of Barangay Graceville, City of San Jose del Monte.
He said seized from the three were a total of 13 sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 4.5 grams, valued by the Dangerous Drugs Board at PHP30,600, and buy-bust money.
Meanwhile, the other five suspects were caught in the act of having a pot session in Barangay Perez, Meycauayan City at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, Lukban said.
He identified them as Mark Joseph Cavita of Barangay Banga, Dorothy Aguilar of Barangay Malhacan, Danilo Montes Jr. and Rommel Aquino, both from Barangay Caingin, all of Meycauayan City, and Robert Ching of Barangay Tugatog, Venteriales, Valenzuela City.
Confiscated from them were five heat-sealed and one cut-opened sachet of suspected shabu, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Lukban said appropriate criminal complaints against the arrested suspects were being prepared for filing in court. (PNA)
