2 high-value drug suspects yield P54.7-M shabu in Caloocan

MANILA – Operatives of the Northern Police District (NPD) nabbed two high-value drug suspects and seized PHP54.7 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust in Caloocan City on Friday.

In a statement, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief, Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said the suspects Ali Usman and Von Emil Flores were arrested during the operation at a lodge in Barangay 136, Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City at around 12:30 a.m.

Arresting officers recovered from the suspects around eight kilograms of shabu packed in tea bags and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the pieces of evidence collected will be subjected to confirmatory testing.

The operation came just more than an hour after Southern Police District (SPD) personnel seized another PHP54 million worth of shabu from Marisa Asi and Muslimin Kamid, in Barangay Maharlika, Taguig City. (PNA)
