MANILA – With its unwavering commitment to support the government response in helping curb the Covid-19 pandemic, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has now administered 807,976 doses in its 26 Bakuna Centers, 17 Bakuna Buses, and Bakuna Teams nationwide as of Dec. 23.

"Kahit maraming hamon ngayon ang ating bansa, ang Red Cross ay patuloy na nagpapadala ng mga bakuna sa mga tao, at palagi naming tinitiyak ang kaligtasan at pagiging epektibo ng mga bakuna dahil tulung-tulong tayong upang mapigilan na ang pandemya (Although our country faces many challenges, the Red Cross continues to send vaccines to people, and we always make sure the safety and effectiveness of vaccines because we work together to stop this pandemic)," PRC chairman and CEO Senator Dick Gordon said in a news release on Sunday.

As the Department of Health (DOH) shortened the gap between the second dose or primary dose and booster shot, PRC encouraged everyone to get their booster shot as soon as they can.

According to the latest DOH’s policy, adults can get their booster shot three months after their last dose or two months for those who got the one-dose Janssen vaccine.

"The best way to protect yourself, your loved ones, and the people around you is by getting vaccinated," Gordon said. (PR)
