BACOLOD CITY – The coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccination campaign has resumed this week in some areas of southern Negros Occidental affected by Typhoon Odette.

As of Thursday, inoculation was being conducted in identified villages in the cities of Kabankalan and Sipalay, as well as the municipalities of Ilog and Cauayan, based on the Facebook posts of their respective local governments and health offices.

Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II said the Provincial Health Office continues to focus on the Covid-19 vaccination campaign.

“In all health offices, if power is already available and their freezers and refrigerators are okay, we already start delivering the vaccines,” he added.

In Kabankalan and Sipalay, vaccination continued in some villages starting January 4 while in Ilog and Cauayan, inoculation sites in certain barangays resumed on January 5.

On December 30, vaccination was also conducted in three villages in Cauayan.
