2 minors, 5 others nabbed in Bulacan anti-drug ops

EVIDENCE. CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – Seven suspected drug peddlers, including two minors, were arrested and some PHP3.2 million worth of illegal substances were seized following Saturday’s separate buy-bust operations in the cities of Malolos and San Jose Del Monte, this province.

In a police report obtained Sunday, the arrested drug pushers were identified as John Archie Sabado, 32, of Bongabon, Nueva Ecija; a 17-year-old from Cainta, Rizal; and Arturo Trinos, Norilyn Mariano, Annalyn Dupra, Sanny Bernardo, and another 17-year-old, all residents of Minuyan Proper, City of San Jose Del Monte.

Fifty grams of shabu with an estimated value of PHP400,000 were seized in Barangay Minuyan Proper at about 4:30 p.m. while 20 bricks of dried marijuana leaves worth PHP2,800,000 were confiscated in Barangay Panasahan, Malolos City, about 10 p.m.

The recovered pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Forensic Unit.

The two teenagers have been turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office while criminal complaints were being prepared against the other five suspects.

“Bulacan police remain relentless and vigorous in implementing its intensified campaign against illegal drugs,” Col. Rommel Ochave, acting Bulacan police provincial director, said in a statement. (PNA)
