66% of 221K fully vaxxed PNP personnel get booster shots

MANILA – The Philippine National Police (PNP) raised to 66.50 percent its booster vaccine rate as of Sunday.

In its latest Covid-19 tracker, the PNP said 147,622 out of 221,990 fully vaccinated personnel already have the added protection against Covid-19.

Overall, 98.81 percent of the 224,668-strong police force is already vaccinated.

A total of 2,043 (0.91 percent) are waiting for their second shots while 635 personnel (0.28 percent) are unvaccinated.

Meanwhile, no new Covid-19 case was recorded Sunday, leaving the number of active infections at 24.

The PNP Health Office data showed 48,856 cases have been recorded since the start of the pandemic two years ago, 48,704 recovered, and 128 died.

The last recorded fatality was on February 11. (PNA)
