MANILA – A three-year-old logistics company founded in the province of Bulacan is venturing into franchising to expand its business nationwide.

Bulacan Express Courier Services or BEXCS Logistics Solutions, Inc. will open its doors to franchisees who would like to offer the firm’s delivery services.

BEXCS Logistics founder and president Marjorey Medina-Rubio said at the launch of its franchising business at the Newport Theater in Pasay City Friday that the company eyes to roll out 360 branches across the country this year.

In an interview, Medina-Rubio said BEXCS currently has 10 branches, four of which are owned by the company and six are through joint ventures.

“The (logistics) industry is so big and is so high, and we are banking on that opportunity for our growth, especially in this new normal,” she said at the sidelines of the event.

Medina-Rubio said the company is different from other third-party logistics as it can customize its services to the need of the customers.

From an express parcel delivery between an online seller and a customer, BEXCS Logistics can offer logistics solutions such as international shipping; land, air, and sea cargo; up to warehouse and inventory management.

BEXCS Logistics also combine remittance and payment center for customers.

Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) vice chair Alegria Simbal-Limjoco said franchising of logistics business is timely in the new normal amid the accelerated digital transformation and being in the “golden age of logistics.” (PNA)
