92% Zambo City’s target population now fully vaxxed

ZAMBOANGA CITY – At least 665,007 individuals representing 92.7 percent of the city’s target population have fully been vaccinated, having received their second dose since the vaccination program was rolled out here in March last year.

In a report Tuesday, the City Health Office (CHO) said the majority of fully vaccinated individuals consist of front-liner personnel in the essential sector who belong to the A4 priority group with 155,471.

The rest of the population group followed next with 119,884 and third are indigents who belong to the A5 priority group with 110,659.

Other fully vaccinated individuals belonged to the rest of the pediatric population (ROPP) 12 to 17 years old, 95,959; individuals with comorbidity (A3), 79,073; senior citizens (A2), 54,872; ROPP 5 to 11 years old, 28,644; workers in frontline health services (A1), 18,727; pediatrics with comorbidity 12 to 17 years old, 1,432; and, pediatrics with comorbidity 5 to 11 years old, 284.

The Department of Health has set the target population for vaccination against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the city at 716,960.

“Get vaccinated for added protection against Covid-19,” CHO said in its statement.

CHO data also showed that 141,355 of the fully vaccinated individuals have received their booster shots.

Also, some 676,577 individuals representing 94.36 percent of the target population of 716,960 have received their first dose of the vaccines. (PNA)
