DAVAO CITY – The Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 (Davao region) has condemned the killing of a policeman in Davao del Sur, vowing to leave no stone unturned to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Director of PRO-11, Brig. Gen. Benjamin Silo Jr., said the case remains under investigation but assured that justice would be served to Patrolman Hariz Jhun Adayo's family.

“The entire family of PRO-11 extends their heartfelt sympathy and condolence to the family of Patrolman Adayo,” Silo said in an interview Wednesday.

Silo said there was no need to create an investigating body as they are already focusing on solving the case.

“I already sent some officers in Davao del Sur to help. We reviewed all the possible angles,” he said.

Adayo was riding his motorbike on his way to Hagonoy town from Bansalan via the provincial road in Matanao town.

Upon reaching Barangay New Visayas in Matanao, the gunmen, who were on separate motorcycles, fired at Adayo multiple times before speeding off.

Responders brought Adayo to the hospital where attending physicians pronounced him dead.

Silo said the motive of the incident has yet to be determined. (PNA)
