LAOAG CITY – Mayor Michael Keon announced Friday that unauthorized access to his Facebook (FB) page has been detected since the election campaign period.

Keon said the successful hacking of both his personal and official social media accounts was first noticed by his bank manager two days ago when the latter saw pornographic videos in the mayor’s page.

Later on, his profile page used Italics known of the Taliban, an Islamist fundamentalist organization that ruled Afghanistan from 1996 until being toppled by the 2001 United State invasion.

“It's obviously an attempt by people that we can loosely refer to as my Malabanan (opponents) who have finally become successful in doing this to me,” Keon said in a statement.

As of this posting, Keon said his information technology specialists are working things out with Facebook administrators as he hopes to hear results in the coming days. (PNA)
