BUTUAN CITY – The City of Bislig in Surigao del Sur has no more active coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases as of Friday.
The local government’s information office proudly shared the development on Saturday as the city government’s seven quarantine facilities with 308 beds are all unoccupied.
Bislig City, with a population of about 93,000, has recorded 2,640 Covid-19 cases and 152 deaths since the pandemic struck in March 2020.
The continuing vaccination drive has fully inoculated 57,941 while 6,378 have the first booster shots. (PNA)
