MANILA – Two bettors became instant millionaires after winning the PHP73.7 million jackpot of the Super Lotto 6/49, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said on Friday.

In an advisory, the PCSO said the bettors guessed the winning combination 36-07-14-21-20-42 from Thursday night's draw, with a total prize money of PHP73,777,794.

The winning tickets were purchased by two bettors in Tarlac City, Tarlac and Iloilo City, Iloilo.

To claim the check, the bettors must go to PCSO's main office in Mandaluyong City and present the winning ticket and two ID cards.

As provided in the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, lotto winnings of more than PHP10,000 shall be subject to a 20 percent final tax.

Meanwhile, 34 other bettors guessed five out of the six two-digit winning combinations and won PHP50,000 each, the PCSO said.

About 1,776 bettors got PHP1,200 each for getting four of the winning combinations while 26,888 bettors won PHP50 each for guessing three right combinations.

The 6/49 Super Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

This is the fifth time this month wherein a sole bettor bagged the jackpot prize of the state lottery games.

A lone bettor from Batangas bagged the PHP5.94 million jackpot prize in Lotto 6/42 draw last June 18.

A bettor in Malabon became an instant millionaire after guessing the right six-digit combination of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw on June 17 winning the PHP103-million jackpot, while a lone bettor from Cavite bagged the PHP9.4-million jackpot of the Lotto 6/42 draw on June 16.

Last June 9, a lone bettor from Las Piñas City bagged the PHP12.9-million jackpot of the Lotto 6/42 draw.

The PCSO urged the public to patronize its games to generate more funds for health programs, medical assistance and services, and charities.

Through its mandatory contributions, the agency said it does not only help individuals in need of medical assistance but also provides funds to government institutions. (PNA)
