P17-M shabu seized in Pasay City

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Anti-drug operatives seized some PHP17.25 million worth of shabu from a male claimant in a controlled delivery operation in Pasay City on Friday.

A report of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Luzon (PDEA-3) on Saturday identified the arrested consignee as Angel Paul Larimer Felismenia (alias Rocky Reyes Marasigan), 24, a resident of Pasay City.

He was arrested in Barangay 76 at around 4 p.m.

The package containing the illegal substances landed at the Port of Clark in Pampanga from Rockville, Maryland, United States on July 5.

"The parcel was declared as non-perishable chocolates, coffee, and sweets,” the PDEA said in its report.

Confiscated were some 2.5 kilograms of shabu with an estimated street value of PHP17,250,000, two identification cards, and a mobile phone.

The operation was jointly conducted by PDEA, Clark Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task, Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark, and Special Drug Unit of the Pasay City Police. (PNA)
